I think the importance of writing is in the method of saying I was here today. It’s that act of daily defiance, where the hours somehow are captured in a bottle. It’s a matter of making something that will last, even if it’s just a few words on a page. I don’t believe that these words will be consumed by anyone probably other than me. Still, I’m given the option to go back and consume them. That option is not open to everyone. Only authors and people that write down what they believe and think have that option available to them. Fiction authors are able to express commonality in forms of action and adventure. Perhaps that’s why fiction writing is so amazing. It allows you to capture that moment in a way that anyone can consume.
